CMD Announces New QSD2.0-170 Engine Rating
(Charleston, S.C.) – Cummins MerCruiser Diesel is extending its innovative Quantum diesel technology on the QSD2.0 platform with the announcement of the new QSD2.0-170. Suitable for both sterndrive and inboard applications, the new, higher horsepower, QSD2.0-170 will be EPA, RCD and IMO certified. The QSD2.0-170 sterndrive will be offered with Bravo One, Two and Three sterndrives.
Complimenting the other QSD2.0 engine ratings from 115-150 HP, the QSD2.0-170 features a new turbocharger for increased power and an advanced ECM with SmartCraft™ compatibility to monitor various engine parameters. The QSD2.0 also features advanced components like the integrated heat exchanger and exhaust manifold, which help reduce overall package size and weight. Impressive acceleration and precise throttle response are the result of a proven high pressure common rail fuel system that includes a turbocharger and seawater aftercooler.
