CMD and Bavaria Yachts a Match Made In Heaven for TDI®
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Bavaria Yachts has debuted two great boat models in 2011 with Cummins MerCruiser Diesel power. Early in the year the German boat builder released the Sport 34, powered by twin CMD TDI 265 hp 3.0L engines. A few short months after the release of the Sport 34, Bavaria unveiled a second version of this same hull, the Sport 34HT, which sea trialed in late April.
Both models were developed in cooperation with BMW Group Designworks USA. Spanish marine design firm Insenaval was responsible for all hydrodynamic performance aspects of the project. Both powered with twin CMD TDI 265 hp 3.0L engines, the Bavaria Sport 34 open and 34HT offer the perfect combination of style and performance.
The timeless style, comfort and sophistication of the two models includes two generous, well-designed cabins, a shared head and a well-appointed salon and galley. Combine that with CMD TDI 3.0L engines, and the Bavaria Sport 34 and 34HT are the epitome of uncompromising German engineering. Thanks to the large side windows and windscreen of the 34HT, the driver has a complete overview of what is happening around him. And at the same time, all guests are sheltered from wind and weather.
The CMD TDI engine series is an obvious fit for the Bavaria Sport line because of the rich German heritage of both product lines. The CMD TDI Series is the result of an alliance between CMD and legendary German auto maker Volkswagen.
The Bavaria Sport 34 open and Sport 34HT can be seen at various European boat shows throughout 2011 and 2012 boat show season.
