Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Teams up with Anchors Away

Charleston, SC – With the help and support of Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, Anchors Away’s Disabled Fishing Team is proud to be participating for the second year in the Charleston Angler Megadock Billfishing Tournament at the Charleston City Marina.  The team will be fishing aboard the one and only Quad Zeus, http://www.quadzeus.com/, and thanks to Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, they will be given an opportunity to compete with all other able bodied anglers!

The Anchors Away Program, a nonprofit outdoor educational and recreation program that use watersports to liberate and empower our disabled Veterans and Civilians with both mental and physical disabilities, is proud to have partnered with Cummins MerCruiser Diesel to participate in the 9th Annual Charleston Angler Megadock Billfishing Tournament. This Marlin and Sailfish competition will be held July 6-9, 2011 and represents the fourth event of five in the famed South Carolina Governor's Cup Billfishing Series; and also a sanctioned event for the World Billfish Series and IGFA World Championship.

The Anchors Away Disabled Fishing team consists of veterans, members of the community, and volunteers with a variety of both mental and physical disabilities.
